ONLINE TRAINING 2.0
Mike Giegerich here! I’m End Overdose’s director of communications and I’m excited to share our inaugural stakeholder update.
Throughout the past two months, we’ve quietly assembled a team of over 25 actors, musicians, and content creators for the long-awaited ONLINE END OVERDOSE TRAINING 2.0!
With narration from V.Okay and A Hundred Drums, it’s a meticulously crafted project directed by End Overdose creative advisor Zej Radke and produced by myself. Many long days and late nights were spent across eight locations in the Los Angeles area, ranging from 1720 in DTLA to an airplane in Sun Valley, with friends from across the creative spectrum.
Our goal with version 2.0 of the End Overdose training is to provide you with lifesaving skills in the most high-concept way possible. Whether you’ve taken our overdose response training, donated, shared our content, or volunteered at an event, your support has made this new project possible.
It’s also made possible an array of major highlights from June 2024 that we’re excited to share with you below. Thanks for continuing to support End Overdose on our journey to end drug-related overdose deaths through education, medical intervention, and public awareness.

LIMP BIZKIT'S WES BORLAND
We collaborated with Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland on a major awareness campaign. With three videos filmed at our Pasadena HQ, the rollout marked a massive moment in delivering overdose prevention/response awareness to the metal scene.
With the support of a creative like Wes, we hope to continue building a bridge to the metal community and beyond. Let us know who you’d like to see End Overdose collaborate with next – maybe we can make it happen.
PUBLIC HEALTH PSA
We also spent many hours formulating a new series: Public HEALTH with Johnny HEALTH and Debbie, our public health expert. Not only is the series anchored by an amazing pun, but it combines Johnny’s commitment to our cause (alongside the amazing HEALTH fanbase) with Debbie’s deep knowledge of the opioid overdose crisis.
It’s through campaigns like these that we continue to innovate how to deliver public health knowledge in a way that genuinely engages people.
WELCOME: MADDIE WARD
Maddie Ward, the chapter president of UCLA, has graduated and officially joined the End Overdose team as our director of operations! We’re all thrilled to have Maddie full-time as she’s an unbelievably hard worker dedicated to ending overdose.
We also saw another wave of our chapter members graduate in June. We’re so grateful for everything they’ve done on their campuses to make End Overdose’s mission a reality! We’re excited to see what all of our outgoing chapter members accomplish in the next phase of their academic or career journeys.
